The IP-S2 HD system is an integration of an Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU), GNSS receiver (GPS and GLONASS) and vehicle odometry that provides precise positioning and attitude data in a dynamic moving environment. The IP-S2 HD Mapper features a rotating LiDAR sensor with 64 internal lasers that capture targets up to a range of 100m. The sensor's 360 degree horizontal field of view provides full coverage of scaned areas with a 30 degree vertical field of view. Furthermore, the combination of a six-lens digital camera system provides 360 degree spherical images at user defined time or distance intervals. The HD Mapper system produces the highest density 3D point clouds and georeferenced imagery available today and can be used to extract GIS asset information.
A modular, “Plug & Play” design, provides maximum flexibility for the user. The need to conduct field calibrations is eliminated by integrating the sensors into a cube mount design. This makes a very complex system of different technologies simple to use, all-together integrated and very productive.
